L’Atelier Animation is an animation studio that specializes in the creation of 3D feature films and television series. Founded in Montreal in 2012, L’Atelier has distinguished itself by its choice of highly creative projects to work on and its constantly evolving technological infrastructure. The Modeling Artist works under the supervision of the Modeling Supervisor. The artist interprets the 2D model packs and creates a 3D representation that meets the technical requirements and the artistic vision established for the project.
Under the supervision of Management and the CG & VFX Supervisor, the Producer is responsible for the production schedule, supervises and directs the production team. His main tasks are to manage the workload of his team, ensure the management of the project and maintain communications with the different departments of the project. He must monitor the project and ensure its smooth running in collaboration with the coordination team, the CG & VFX Supervisor, management and leads.
The Texturing & Shading Artist works under the supervision of the Texturing Supervisor and is responsible for the design of textures / shading of 3D character models. The artist interprets the 2D model packs and creates a 3D representation that meets the technical requirements and the artistic vision established for the project.
The Production Coordinator participates in the organization of the production for the feature film. He is assigned to the animation department and is an integral part of the management structure of the team. Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Coordinator’s main responsibility is to ensure that production runs smoothly while working in close collaboration with the project’s Supervisors.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Lighting Compositing Artist is responsible of the lighting of the shots for the animated movie and the final visual quality of the shots for the feature. The Artist interprets the light keys, creates a 3D representation and is in charge of the integration of the elements while respecting the technical and artistic rules established on the project.
Under the supervision of the Texturing Supervisor and the Asset Supervisor, the Grooming Artist is responsible for designing the grooming of the characters, sets, vehicles and accessories. The artist interprets the 2D references and creates a representation in 3D while respecting the technical rules and the artistic vision established on the project.
Under the supervision the Artistic Director or the Lead Concept Artist, the Concept Artist is responsible for the design of characters, environments and/or props in black and white and color for the production of a 3D animated film. He can participates in the creation and establishment of Light-Keys based on the color scripts intended for the Lighting team. The artist must always reflect and interpret the original intention of the Artistic Director and Director.
The 3D Animator works under the supervision of the Animation Director and the Animation leads. They are responsible for characters, vehicles and props animation. The artist interprets the storyboard / animatic to create key-frame animation while respecting the technical requirements and the artistic vision of the project.
